Know these cold

  1. Linux privilege escalation: SUID binaries, weak sudo rules, kernel exploits.
  2. Windows: SAM database, NTLM hashes, LSASS; Kerberos basics.
  3. Password attacks: brute force, dictionary, rainbow tables, credential stuffing. Salting defeats rainbow tables.
  4. Tools: John the Ripper, Hashcat, Hydra. Biometrics as a second factor.
