- CFAA Full Text — 18 U.S.C. § 1030 — The federal statute that makes unauthorized access illegal — read before any lab activity.
Know these cold
- Ethical hacking is authorized, rule-bound security assessment — the same techniques as malicious hacking applied with written permission for defensive purposes.
- INT 2681 follows the EC-Council CEH v12 curriculum; the textbook is TestOut Ethical Hacker Pro.
- All labs are conducted in a controlled environment under the course's Rules of Engagement; applying any technique outside that authorized environment is unauthorized computer access under federal law.
- Dr. Leveque Levec's office hours are Mondays 8:00–9:00 AM in room 229-O; email levecta@pgcc.edu — email is preferred.
- All assignments are submitted in Canvas before the weekly due date; late work is not accepted.
- Grading: Discussion Board 50 · Quizzes 90 · In-class Labs 480 · Midterm Exam 200 · Final Exam 250 = 1070 points total.
